From the proceeds of our latest raffle Yass Rotary will continue to provide the young people of Yass Valley with personal development and leadership training by funding their participation in Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) and the Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN).

RYLA operates annually as a weeklong course for young adults - post-secondary students aged 18 to late twenties. The course is presented by experts in personal development, careers, and business.

RYPEN is run twice a year. It's a 3-day weekend course, similar to RYLA, but age appropriate for upper secondary school students from 16 to 18 years.

The presenters give their time and expertise freely to train, motivate, and develop the participants, giving them access to the skills and attitude to help them through their personal life and work/business careers.

All the presenters are successful in their life and chosen careers. Many are Rotarians while others are friends & supporters of Rotary who see what we are doing to help in the development of young adults. Some are RYLA &/or RYPEN participants, who value the help they received from Rotary and want to give back in kind - usually they enjoy it so much they volunteer to help many times.

Each year Yass Rotary club seeks young people who may be interested in receiving this free-of-cost life training.  Anyone interested should contact Yass Rotary at yassrotary.org.au or by email yassrotary@gmail.com. High school careers advisors are also a point of contact.

Some of the profits from the current raffle will go to our local schools by way of annual award presentations and other student related costs.

The Yass Rotary Club thanks ALL our supporters for their generous support to help develop the young people of Yass through RYLA, RYPEN and other Rotary programs.
