The Rotary Club of Yass owns a BBQ trailer which is available for hire by organisations or individuals.  

Hire Agreement – BBQ Trailer

This form is to be completed by the Hirer and submitted to The Rotary Club of Yass Inc (Yass Rotary) no less than one week before the date of hire. Bookings will be confirmed only when hire form has been submitted and any applicable fees and charges have been paid.

Yass Rotary may, at its absolute discretion, reduce or waive the fees having regard to the hirer or the event at which the BBQ is being used.  

Important information about the BBQ Trailer

The BBQ trailer:

• weighs 750kg and MUST be towed by a vehicle of the appropriate rating;

• is supplied with a drop-down jockey wheel and two levelling jacks to ensure that the BBQ plates can remain level - the jockey wheel and the levelling jacks MUST be retracted and locked in place when moving the trailer.

• is supplied with a safety chain and “D” shackles for connection to the towing vehicle and a standard 7 pin flat electrical connector for the trailer lights. 

An operator’s checklist can be found in the storage area of the trailer.

Conditions of Hire

1.     The ‘responsible person’ for the Hirer must be eighteen (18) years of age or over.

2.     The Hirer must pay the hire fee before the hire period commences and must use the BBQ trailer and equipment in accordance with these terms and conditions.

3.     It is the Hirer’s responsibility to arrange for:

• the collection of the BBQ trailer and equipment at a time and place suitable to Yass Rotary. 

• the return of the BBQ trailer and equipment at a time and place suitable to Yass Rotary.

4.     The Hirer must notify Yass Rotary of any cancellation or other change to the hire promptly.

5.     Before the BBQ trailer is returned to Yass Rotary it must be thoroughly cleaned, inside and out, as well as the BBQ plates, cooking utensils, trays, dishes and other equipment.  The BBQ trailer and all equipment supplied by Yass Rotary must be returned in serviceable condition.

6.     If the BBQ Trailer and equipment is not returned in a clean condition that is acceptable to Yass Rotary then the Hirer will be charged the cleaning fee specified in this agreement.

7.     Any loss or damage to the BBQ trailer or equipment during the hire period must be replaced or repaired at the cost of the Hirer. If necessary, Yass Rotary will arrange for the replacement or repairs and recover the cost from the Hirer.

8.     The Hirer accepts liability for and releases Yass Rotary from all damages, liabilities, injuries and death arising directly or indirectly from the use of the BBQ trailer and equipment during the hire period, except to the extent directly caused by Yass Rotary.

9.     The Hirer will indemnify Yass Rotary in respect of all claims, costs, expenses and for all loss, damage, injury or death to persons or property caused by the BBQ trailer and equipment or the use of BBQ trailer and equipment during the hire period, except to the extent directly caused by Yass Rotary.
